Common Fire Shutter Issues

OFS Annual Maintenance
Visual Inspection
We'll check the overall condition of the fire shutter, including its panels, casing, and frame.
Look for rust, corrosion, or signs of wear that could affect the shutter's performance.
Ensure there are no visible dents, cracks, or damaged components.
Functionality Testing
We'll test the shutter’s ability to raise and lower manually (if applicable).
Check for any resistance, grinding, or abnormal sounds while operating the shutter manually.
Our team will test the F/R closure with a "drop-test" which is testing the emergency release or fail-safe mechanism to ensure it works as intended.
Documentation and Compliance Check
We'll keep a detailed record of the maintenance performed on the fire shutter, including any parts replaced, repairs done, and tests conducted.
